- פֵּרָקוֹן, פֵּי׳m. (פָּרַק) redemption. Keth.IV, 4 חייב … ובפִרְקוֹנָהּוכ׳ is bound to support her, to redeem her (when she is captured), and to bury her. Ib. 47b תיקנו … ופִירְקוֹנָהּ תחתוכ׳ they instituted the duty of support as an equivalent for her handiwork, and that of redemption as an equivalent for the privilege of usufruct (of her property). Y.Maas. Sh. IV, 55b (read:) פ״י פרקון the mark Pé on a vessel means peraḳon (redemption, i. e. second tithes).
